In addition, they highlight that although the monument, made in metal by Aleksander Frančeškin and Selman Čorović reproduces the Bitcoin symbol, it is also an acknowledgment of the potentialities of decentralization, its usefulness and benefits, highlighting that “not only aims at the optimization of daily life, but also interpersonal trust, transparency and cooperation.”

This monument materializes after going through a firm path of adoption of blockchain technology and the use of cryptocurrencies in Slovenia: ATMs, banks that offer bitcoin coupons from ATMs and even the intention to become the blockchain destination in Europe; because last October the country's government declared that they intend to position themselves as the leading destination for blockchain innovation in the European Union.
